Christian Nationalism

What's the Deal with Christian Nationalism? Its a hot button issue of late, and the discussion continues to be muddied by multiple definitions and voices. What is it exactly?

Christian Nationalism is a hot topic that gets continually misdirected and redefined by those who want to see this heretical and cult-like belief become the norm. Simply put, Christian Nationalism is exactly what it sounds like, a desire to see a Christian State under a Nationalist ideology. It sounds great when it is presented, as a Christian Society, living on "God's Law" and free from evil and persecution. However, that's not what it is in any stretch of the imagination.

NATIONALISM
Nationalism is antithetical to Christianity. All you have to do to begin to see the problems.

According to the dictionary, Nationalism is the "identification with one's own nation and support for its interests, especially to the exclusion or detriment of the interests of other nations." Compare this with Philippians 2:3-4 "3 Do nothing out of rivalry or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. 4 Everyone should look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others." The call for nationalism is fundamentally counter to Christianity. It cannot be reconciled.
